Head of Operations - Manufacturing & Installation

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable operating model for delivery and installation operations to transform reactive workflows into structured processes.
• Oversee daily and weekly planning for multiple concurrent delivery and installation projects, ensuring effective resource allocation.
• Lead last-mile execution, including dispatch planning, routing logic, crew allocation, and workforce utilization.
• Develop an operational control tower approach to track active projects, installation progress, and resource capacity through data-driven dashboards.
• Standardize core workflows and create standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive continuous improvement and reduce inefficiencies.
• Manage and develop operational planning, dispatch, and field execution teams to build organizational capability.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with sales, logistics, customer service, and production to ensure smooth project handovers and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience in operational process design and implementing scalable workflows.
• Extensive experience in multi-project coordination and managing concurrent field activities or sites.
• Strong background in last-mile operations, including delivery, dispatch, routing, or field-service execution.
• Demonstrated ability in workforce coordination, including planning and optimizing installation crews or field teams.
• Expertise in performance management, specifically defining KPIs and driving operational discipline.
• A track record of continuous improvement, focusing on reducing delays, resource conflicts, and operational bottlenecks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume furniture delivery, modular furniture installation, or joinery/kitchen installation companies.
• Background in large-scale home installation programs or retail last-mile operations.
• Experience working within logistics, distribution, or complex field-service organizations.
• Familiarity with building operational control systems, reporting dashboards, or command-center routines.
