About the Company

Icarus builds solar-powered aircraft that fly at 60,000 ft for weeks at a time, delivering persistent, affordable, and scalable presence from the stratosphere. We are a fast-moving aerospace startup focused on reclaiming the forgotten frontier of the sky.

Responsibilities

• Own company operations across facilities, people, recruiting, vendor management, procurement, finance, and legal coordination
• Build the operating cadence including leadership meetings, KPI tracking, and company goals
• Scale the El Segundo factory into a high-output aerospace manufacturing and flight-test operation
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing leads to remove blockers and improve throughput
• Build lightweight systems for onboarding, purchasing, inventory, compliance, and IT
• Drive special cross-functional projects for the CEO

Requirements

• Elite operator with a high sense of ownership and execution
• Ability to manage chaos and make decisions with incomplete information
• Comfortable operating between high-level strategy and the factory floor
• Organized, intense, and allergic to bureaucracy
• Ability to work without hand-holding to find and solve problems
• Prior experience in startups, aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or military leadership is helpful
