Head of Medical Affairs/CRP

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and scientific leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for Medical Affairs activities within the Austrian affiliate
• Lead, coach, and mentor the Austrian Medical Affairs organization, including performance management and talent development
• Develop and execute local medical strategies aligned with global brand and affiliate objectives
• Oversee medical governance for protocols, amendments, informed consent documents, grants, and contracts
• Provide scientific leadership in interactions with healthcare professionals, scientific experts, and external stakeholders
• Partner with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, and Clinical Operations to support product lifecycle activities
• Ensure all activities comply with local and international regulations, including ICH and GCP guidelines

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (preferred) or advanced health/scientific degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, Pharmacology, or Veterinary Medicine)
• 7–10 years of experience in clinical research and/or Medical Affairs
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing medical or scientific professionals
• Strong understanding of the local medical marketplace
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German and/or French is preferred
• Willingness to travel as required
