About the Company

Charge Robotics is a Series A startup building robots that build solar farms. We are MIT-founded and backed by top investors like Founders Fund and Lux Capital, working to speed up the world’s transition to renewables.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and grow a world-class manufacturing team
  • Own the end-to-end operationalization of the production facility, including site readiness, equipment, and workflows
  • Build a manufacturing engineering org to ensure efficient NPI and continuous optimization for manufacturability
  • Collaborate with supply chain to drive COGS reduction through DFM feedback and process optimization
  • Establish manufacturing processes, documentation, and organizational design (BOMs, drawings, part qualification)
  • Own EHS compliance and safety culture at the production facility

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing leadership role, including standing up a production facility
  • Experience bringing complex electromechanical systems from prototype to production
  • Familiarity with DFM, DFA, and GD&T principles
  • Experience sourcing and qualifying suppliers and contract manufacturers
  • Ability to work 4-5 days/week onsite in San Leandro, CA
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
  • Experience in automation, robotics, or capital equipment manufacturing
  • Experience with solar or construction industry technologies
  • Experience in high-complexity, low-volume production environments
  • Familiarity with ION manufacturing software
