Head of Machine Learning

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a risk engineering strategy aligned with Tide’s long-term vision for compliant growth
• Lead and mentor a team of managers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
• Architect and scale foundational risk infrastructure to support real-time decision-making and advanced fraud prevention
• Develop user-friendly self-service risk tooling to empower product, compliance, and operations teams
• Collaborate with legal and compliance experts to ensure leadership in an evolving regulatory climate
• Champion data-driven risk management by leveraging machine learning for automated fraud detection and compliance solutions

Requirements

• 12+ years of engineering experience with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role (Head, Director, or Senior Manager)
• Deep expertise in fraud prevention and compliance, including KYC/KYB and AML
• Strong experience with supervised/unsupervised models, neural networks, and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Hands-on experience with multi-agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen)
• Proven track record of building and deploying production-grade risk-scoring environments at scale
• Solid technical foundations in cloud-native architectures (AWS or GCP), microservices, and event-driven systems
• Experience detecting adversarial AI threats such as deepfakes, synthetic identities, and prompt injection attacks
