Head of Machine Learning

Responsibilities

• Define and drive a coherent vision for leveraging data to build automation products across surveying and design
• Translate vision into a technical roadmap and execute on model shipping
• Build and grow the ML team through hiring, onboarding, and structuring
• Mentor ML engineers and researchers providing technical direction and career guidance
• Stay hands-on by reviewing designs, code, architecture, and modeling decisions
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to align research with customer needs

Requirements

• Experience leading and growing teams of ML engineers and researchers
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning with a track record of shipping production models
• Strong technical depth in machine learning and computer vision
• Ability to develop and execute technical roadmaps
• Strong communication skills across research and engineering functions
• Proficiency with Python and PyTorch

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in machine learning for 3D perception (point clouds, 3D detection/segmentation, geometric deep learning)
• Experience with CAD AI, design automation, or generating structured/geometric output
• Experience scaling an ML organization through a growth phase
• Background in remote sensing, geomatics, autonomous driving, or robotics
• Experience leveraging large unstructured reality-capture datasets
