Head of Legal

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day legal work across portfolio companies, including contract review and commercial agreements
• Serve as the primary legal partner to portfolio leadership, providing business-oriented advice
• Work with central legal and compliance teams on investment transactions, disputes, and regulatory matters
• Establish and maintain entity structures and governance frameworks across investments
• Set and maintain legal standards, templates, policies, and playbooks
• Manage and coordinate external counsel, including firm selection and cost control
• Implement automation tools to improve legal workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and JD required
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in corporate law
• Experience in both commercial legal work and transactional matters (investments, acquisitions)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
