About the Company

Outpost is a modular back office for global commerce, operating as a Merchant of Record for digital and physical goods across 58+ tax jurisdictions. Recently having raised a €15M Series A, the company provides the full stack of payments, tax, compliance, and customer experience to help brands expand internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own all commercial agreements including MSAs, merchant contracts, and partnership deals
• Manage regulatory posture across EMI, PSD2, and equivalent global frameworks
• Advise on Visa and Mastercard scheme rules to ensure payment operation compliance
• Oversee merchant onboarding and monitoring frameworks, including AML and risk classification
• Lead legal aspects of fundraising, including term sheets and investment documents
• Manage corporate governance, cap tables, and equity across multiple entities
• Assess legal and regulatory requirements for new market entry and international expansion
• Coordinate with and manage external counsel in new jurisdictions

Requirements

• In-house legal experience at a payments company or fintech
• Deep experience with EMI/PSD2 and payments regulation
• Expertise in B2B or enterprise commercial contracts
• Experience with AML programme design and implementation
• Proven track record in fundraising and corporate governance
• Ability to draft and negotiate directly rather than just advising
• Comfort working in high-ambiguity startup environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with international trade, customs, or cross-border commerce
• Exposure to tax-related regulatory frameworks
• Experience with multi-jurisdictional licensing or market entry
