Counsel’s mission is to multiply the world's healthcare capacity. We are building the first fully-vertical, AI-native medical group from the ground up, redesigning the clinical stack with custom AI tools to empower physicians.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams across the company on legal questions to support business momentum
• Lead commercial legal work including customer, vendor, and partner agreements
• Build scalable legal and compliance processes
• Own key healthcare regulatory and compliance areas
• Design legal and compliance infrastructure for insurance billing operations
• Support privacy, information security, and future financing diligence
• Support equity and debt financings and manage corporate matters
• Oversee employment, IP, governance, and tax responsibilities

Requirements

• Early career experience at a top-tier law firm, ideally in corporate practice
• Deep experience in healthcare (healthtech counsel or in-house)
• Practical, business-minded approach to legal work
• Strong judgment and ability to balance risk with speed
• Ability to work independently and own complex matters
• Experience managing outside counsel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an early legal hire at a startup or scaling company
• Familiarity with insurance billing and healthcare regulatory frameworks
• Experience scaling through new markets or operational complexity
