Head of KYC Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead the KYC Operations Function to ensure compliance and provide instant service with best-in-class quality.
• Drive strategic direction and operational excellence by leading a team of Area Leads and overseeing approximately 75 employees across multiple locations.
• Design and execute the vision for KYC operations, making processes more compliant, faster, and more scalable.
• Build and develop a robust, compliant customer onboarding program and necessary support systems, including metrics, targets, and governance.
• Partner closely with Risk and Compliance teams to align on risk appetites and support business growth.
• Nurture a high-performing culture by developing people strategies, career paths, and performance management processes.
• Oversee team budgets and provide high-level operational reporting.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Operations, with a strong preference for KYC/AML, financial crime, or compliance within financial services.
• 8+ years of leadership experience, specifically leading and mentoring large, diverse teams.
• In-depth expertise and strategic understanding of the regulatory environment and evolving KYC/AML frameworks.
• Proficiency in utilizing advanced analytics tools such as Looker, Superset, or equivalent platforms for data-driven decision-making.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and manage complex, multi-tasking scenarios.
