Head of KYC Operations - APAC

Responsibilities

• Lead the KYC Operations Function for the APAC region, driving strategic direction and operational excellence.
• Oversee a large-scale organization of 150+ employees across multiple internal and outsourced locations.
• Set and execute strategic objectives to ensure compliance, quality, speed, and cost-efficiency.
• Design and develop a robust, compliant customer onboarding program and support systems including metrics and governance.
• Optimize 3rd party services and outsourced vendors within the KYC operating model.
• Partner closely with Product and Risk/Compliance teams to deliver best-in-market KYC products and align on risk appetites.
• Nurture high-performing teams by developing people strategies, career paths, and performance management processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Operations, with a strong preference for KYC/AML, financial crime, or compliance within financial services.
• 8+ years of leadership experience managing large, diverse teams and fostering inclusive cultures.
• In-depth expertise in the regulatory environment and evolving frameworks surrounding KYC/AML.
• Proficiency in advanced analytics tools such as Looker, Superset, or equivalent platforms for data-driven decision-making.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex, high-pressure environments and drive strategic project outcomes.
