Head of Investment Accounting Engineering, MD

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-term vision and platform strategy for a next-generation, cloud-native investment accounting product.
• Lead engineering teams in building accounting engines, rules frameworks, event processing, reconciliation, and reporting services.
• Drive the selection and adoption of modern technologies such as Snowflake, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Redis.
• Implement AI-led engineering practices and develop embedded AI capabilities within accounting workflows, including anomaly detection and data access.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and auditability by delivering against strict SLOs/SLIs for availability and data correctness.
• Build, mentor, and scale a multi-disciplinary global engineering organization.
• Partner with Product, Finance, and Operations to define data models, SLAs, and budget requirements.

Requirements

• 20+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 10+ years focused on investment accounting or financial platforms.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale finance or accounting platforms.
• Deep domain knowledge in accounting processes, NAV, reconciliations, and multi-asset support.
• Expertise in cloud-native architectures, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI tools, including LLMs and Agents.
• Strong background in modern DevOps, Product Security, and DataOps (CI/CD, Kubernetes, observability).
• Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and coaching high-performance teams across geographies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise accounting or OMS platforms such as Aladdin, Geneva, or SimCorp.
• Proficiency with major cloud providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and large-scale migration programs.
• Degree in Engineering or Finance.
