About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the institutional response to allegations of misconduct, overseeing intake, digital forensics, investigative missions, and case management.
- Provide leadership and vision to a multidisciplinary global team of approximately 30 investigators, analysts, and legal officers.
- Ensure high-quality investigations in line with best practices, Conference of International Investigators (CII) standards, and a victim/survivor-centered approach.
- Drive the development of investigative capacity and identify opportunities for organizational improvement.
- Analyze misconduct trends and report findings to the Chief Ethics, Risk and Compliance Officer.
- Represent the Investigation Unit in briefings to senior management, including the Directorate and Regional Directors.
Requirements
- Master's degree in international law, humanitarian law, business administration, political science, or a related field.
- 15+ years of relevant professional experience, including significant leadership of investigation functions.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- Proven ability to lead and guide multidisciplinary teams toward organizational goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in investigations, risk, or compliance management (e.g., CFE, CIA, CPA, CRMA).
- Certification in project management or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in French or other languages.
