Head of Investigations

Responsibilities

• Lead the institutional response to allegations of misconduct, overseeing intake, digital forensics, investigative missions, and case management.
• Provide leadership and vision to a multidisciplinary global team of approximately 30 investigators, analysts, and legal officers.
• Ensure high-quality investigations in line with best practices, Conference of International Investigators (CII) standards, and a victim/survivor-centered approach.
• Drive the development of investigative capacity and identify opportunities for organizational improvement.
• Analyze misconduct trends and report findings to the Chief Ethics, Risk and Compliance Officer.
• Represent the Investigation Unit in briefings to senior management, including the Directorate and Regional Directors.

Requirements

• Master's degree in international law, humanitarian law, business administration, political science, or a related field.
• 15+ years of relevant professional experience, including significant leadership of investigation functions.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Proven ability to lead and guide multidisciplinary teams toward organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification in investigations, risk, or compliance management (e.g., CFE, CIA, CPA, CRMA).
• Certification in project management or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in French or other languages.
