Head of Internal Compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead the internal regulatory and compliance department to ensure adherence to Mexican financial regulations.
• Develop, update, and supervise regulatory and credit manuals.
• Manage and follow up on both internal and external audits.
• Act as the primary point of contact and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies such as CNBV and UIF.
• Oversee training processes and the dissemination of regulatory information across the organization.
• Monitor and manage PLD/FT (Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorist Financing) processes and vulnerable activities.
• Analyze financial information, including income statements and financial positions, to support compliance oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law or Accounting (Title and Professional License/Cédula are mandatory).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role (Head or Manager) within regulatory compliance or normativity in the financial sector.
• Deep knowledge of Mexican financial regulations, including CNBV, SHCP, and SAT.
• Strong understanding of PLD/FT and vulnerable activities.
• Proficiency in English.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel and flexibility regarding work schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
