Head of Internal Audit

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead internal audit activities in accordance with the department audit plan and internal audit charter
• Perform bi-annual risk assessment reviews of the Internal Audit Universe to ensure alignment with enterprise and operational risks
• Prepare and submit the annual audit plan to the Audit Committee for approval and track progress against available resources
• Report audit results, investigation findings, and progress updates on the annual plan to the Audit Committee
• Oversee Internal Audit projects, providing guidance on planning, fieldwork, and reporting to ensure timely completion within budget
• Plan and conduct special assignments, including management-requested risk assurance reviews and fraud investigations
• Coach and develop Internal Audit staff through regular feedback and relevant training programs
• Manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication and high-quality deliverables

Requirements

• 8 years of internal operational and/or IT auditing experience
• Minimum of 3 years in a managerial position
• Tertiary Education degree or equivalent professional qualification

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
• Advanced Diploma in Insurance (AMII) or Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) certification
