Head of Infrastructure Finance

About the Company

American Terawatt is building a new industrial electric grid for the United States. We design and deploy advanced power transmission systems, serving large industrial loads, hundreds of megawatts at a time, from frontier AI datacenters to highly automated manufacturing, refineries, and mines.

Responsibilities

• Architect and execute the infrastructure finance platform
• Design project and holdco capital structures
• Lead debt and equity financings
• Evaluate joint ventures and novel financing structures
• Negotiate financing terms and structure debt terms including tenor, amortization, and covenants
• Build scalable underwriting frameworks to support multi-billion-dollar developments
• Assess financial capacity and creditworthiness across multiple partners
• Underwrite power infrastructure economics including interconnection costs and transmission upgrades
• Develop standardized capital stack templates to scale repeat transactions

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in project finance, infra PE, structured credit, or capital markets
• Demonstrated experience leading complex financing transactions
• Direct experience structuring construction debt, mini-perm facilities, or infra warehouse lines
• Demonstrated track record of hands-on negotiation of final financing terms
• Experience with development-stage energy or large infrastructure assets

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep experience in construction-period modeling and debt draw structuring
