Head of Information Security

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the DCM's information security vision, strategy, and programme in alignment with CFTC Core Principle 20.
• Lead risk identification, vulnerability management, and cyber threat mitigation across all technology assets.
• Own the incident response framework, including detection, containment, reporting, and recovery procedures.
• Direct business continuity and disaster recovery programmes to ensure operational resilience.
• Prepare and maintain system safeguards documentation and evidence for CFTC oversight and examinations.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to ensure secure-by-design development.
• Regularly brief the CEO and senior management on security posture, threats, and risk levels.

Requirements

• 7+ years of senior-level information security experience.
• Experience within financial services, exchange infrastructure, or highly regulated systems.
• Deep familiarity with CFTC expectations regarding system safeguards (Core Principle 20).
• Proven experience with incident response planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Experience managing or working with geographically distributed engineering and infrastructure teams.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and secure software development life cycle (SDLC) practices.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to executive and regulatory audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
• Experience securing exchange, clearing, or trading infrastructure.
• Experience engaging directly with regulators or examiners on technology safeguards.
• Familiarity with prediction markets or novel futures products.
