About the role
Responsibilities
- Define the Unit's strategic orientations, objectives, and action priorities to drive implementation.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse global team of analysts to deliver high-quality strategic foresight.
- Present actionable insights and emerging trends to senior leadership to inform decision-making.
- Oversee the delivery of flagship analytical products, including the Global Trends Report and weekly briefs.
- Coordinate multi-perspective analyses that capture diverse viewpoints, particularly from the Global South.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in Operations, Policy, and External Mobilization.
- Manage the Unit's budget and oversee structured risk and reputational assessments.
- Foster knowledge-sharing and innovation through the open-source information (OSI) Community of Practice.
Requirements
- University degree in global affairs, international relations, political science, open-source intelligence, or a related analytical field.
- Substantial experience conducting or managing research projects in the humanitarian sector, academia, think tanks, or government.
- Expertise in methodologies and techniques related to open-source intelligence (OSINT), strategic analysis, and foresight.
- At least 5 years of professional experience leading and managing a global team.
- Fluency in English and at least one other language (Arabic, Russian, Chinese, French, Spanish, or Portuguese).
- Strong analytical capacity with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
