About the Company

Volleyball World, a joint venture between the FIVB and CVC Capital Partners, is driving the global growth, innovation and commercial development of volleyball. Based in Lausanne, the organization works with partners, host cities, federations and rights holders worldwide to deliver international events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Volleyball World's global hosting strategy for Indoor and Beach Volleyball properties
• Identify and assess new hosting opportunities and build a strong pipeline of host city opportunities
• Lead host city procurement processes from prospecting through contract signature, including tenders and bid evaluations
• Structure hosting agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Develop long-term relationships with host cities, tourism boards, governments, and event stakeholders
• Represent Volleyball World during commercial discussions, presentations, and site visits
• Collaborate with Sponsorship, Media, Product, and Event Operations teams to ensure hosting agreements support broader objectives

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in sports business, event hosting, commercial partnerships, or international event delivery
• Proven experience in host procurement, commercial negotiations, and complex stakeholder environments
• Strong understanding of the commercial and operational aspects of international sporting events
• Experience working with international federations, rights holders, governments, or host destinations
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capabilities
• Ability to operate cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders
• Willingness to undertake regular international travel
