Flux is building the world's first AI hardware engineer. Our platform enables anyone to go from idea to manufacturable board using natural language prompts, democratizing the electronic design automation market.

Responsibilities

  • Drive ECAD feature design and specifications including placement, routing, and manufacturing outputs
  • Act as a design partner to AI/ML teams to define best practices, guardrails, and evaluation harnesses
  • Build and scale the Hardware Design function, managing existing reports and hiring new talent
  • Lead quick-turn-around prototype development from schematic to bring-up
  • Champion user insights and translate customer feedback into product requirements
  • Partner with software engineering to ensure AI evaluations reflect real-world requirements

Requirements

  • Deep electrical engineering expertise across RF, EMI/EMC, Power Electronics, Analog, and High-speed digital
  • Extensive PCB stackup, DFM/DFT, and manufacturing expertise
  • Fluency in multiple ECAD tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, KiCad) and simulation tools (SPICE, HFSS)
  • Experience with lab instrumentation including oscilloscopes and VNAs
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex hardware product lifecycles
  • Strong product sense and ability to communicate technical specs to leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a large technical organization shipping hardware at scale
  • Experience with mass production, factory testing, and yield optimization
  • Background in product management, applications engineering, or field engineering
  • Practical exposure to AI/ML workflows such as data curation or model evaluation
