About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive regional merchandising strategy for footwear across wholesale and DTC channels
- Lead seasonal assortment planning, optimizing product segmentation and lifecycle management
- Drive the regional go-to-market process by aligning global product teams, regional sales, and demand planning
- Synthesize competitor analysis and consumer trends to identify growth opportunities in the Americas
- Collaborate with analytics teams to translate sales data into actionable product insights
- Track KPIs including sell-through rates, inventory turn, and margin health
- Mentor and develop a high-performing merchandising team
- Partner across the matrix to bridge global strategy with local execution
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in merchandising, product management, or retail buying in premium footwear or apparel
- 4+ years of experience leading merchandising teams in high-growth environments
- Expertise in managing footwear assortments within vertically integrated or omnichannel brands
- Proven track record in margin management, assortment planning, and inventory turnover
- Expert analytical skills with ability to navigate complex data sets
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and BI platforms
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
