Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and own firmware architecture end-to-end from MCU to cloud telemetry
• Write high-leverage code, review complex PRs, and maintain the technical bar
• Build and scale the firmware organization, including hiring and coaching engineers
• Ensure firmware compliance with UL standards while maintaining fleet velocity
• Manage real-time grid-balancing, sub-second telemetry, and automated fault recovery

Requirements

• 10+ years writing production firmware for high-reliability embedded systems
• Deep experience with C/C++, MCUs, embedded Linux, and real-time control loops
• Proven track record of building and scaling firmware teams or leading senior technical functions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping hardware through UL certification
• Background in grid-edge systems, utility-scale energy, or ancillary-services
• Experience building HIL infrastructure from scratch
