Head of Financial Crime and MLRO

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with Financial Crime and Anti-Money Laundering regulation
• Assess and respond to Financial Crime risks
• Identify and implement new Financial Crime legislation
• Oversee compliance with FCA rules on systems and controls against Money Laundering
• Develop and maintain reporting of Financial Crime risks and issues
• Provide mandatory AML and Financial Crime training to management and colleagues
• Provide risk and control advice to operations, change management, and project teams
• Define processes for reporting suspicious activities to the National Crime Agency (NCA)
• Deliver Financial Crime compliance monitoring
• Meet expectations of the SMCR regime

Requirements

• At least 5 years experience leading 2LOD Financial Crime functions
• Previous experience holding an SMF17 role
• Extensive understanding of financial crime risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
• In-depth knowledge of MLRs and FCA requirements
• Strong ability to influence the Board and all levels of management
• Experience with a diverse range of regulated and unregulated product offerings
