Head of Finance/Project Finance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine financial strategy for SMR/MMR program development, including capital allocation and funding roadmaps
• Lead project financing activities by structuring debt, equity, and hybrid capital arrangements
• Build and maintain detailed financial models covering project cost estimates, cash flow, and sensitivity analyses
• Identify and pursue U.S. federal funding opportunities such as DOE loan guarantees and grants
• Oversee financial reporting, budget tracking, and cost forecasting across all active programs
• Ensure compliance with U.S. financial laws, GAAP, and NRC-related project financial requirements
• Manage investor relations and prepare board-level financial reporting packages
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in project finance, capital planning, or corporate finance
• Direct experience in U.S. energy infrastructure or nuclear projects strongly preferred
• Proven track record structuring and closing financing for large-scale capital projects
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. nuclear project economics and NRC licensing cost implications
• Ability to build complex financial models and perform rigorous investment analysis
• Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
• Direct experience with DOE loan guarantee programs (Title XVII) and nuclear-specific federal funding
• Familiarity with nuclear decommissioning financial assurance requirements
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Argus, or equivalent financial modeling tools
