Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across the business
• Own month-end close, management accounts, and board-level reporting
• Build robust financial controls, compliance processes, and reporting frameworks
• Manage cash flow, runway planning, treasury, and scaling unit economics
• Partner with auditors, accountants, tax advisors, and investor stakeholders
• Oversee contract management and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Support payroll operations, benefits administration, and HR record maintenance
• Partner on headcount planning and people costs

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• 5+ years in finance, ideally in high-growth tech or AI
• Experience building or improving finance processes from scratch
• Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex numbers
• Ability to work independently in a lean, high-performance team
• Genuine interest in AI and developer tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Series A or B fundraising rounds
• Exposure to SaaS, deep tech, or open-source business models
• Familiarity with employment law and HR operations
• Experience working with legal teams on commercial contracts
• Knowledge of scaling tools and reporting workflows in startups
