Head of Finance

Responsibilities

• Lead the financial function, owning all FP&A and accounting operations including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape company strategy and guide resource allocation
• Build scalable financial systems, strengthen controls, and enhance forecasting accuracy
• Lead fundraising and capital strategy, managing investor relationships and negotiating equity or debt financing
• Integrate financial strategy across sales, operations, and product teams to act as a force multiplier
• Anticipate and mitigate financial and regulatory risks as the company scales

Requirements

• Proven experience in investment banking followed by top-tier private equity experience
• Experience in a senior finance leadership role at a high-growth startup
• Demonstrated expertise in running successful fundraising processes
• Strong mastery of financial modeling and marketplace metrics (unit economics, payback periods, etc.)
• Ability to scale manual processes into automated, repeatable systems
• Willingness to work onsite in New York City five days per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with marketplace or two-sided platform businesses
• Legal and/or compliance acumen
• Proficiency in data and analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Looker
• Experience implementing FP&A software like Oracle, Planful, or Adaptive
