About the Company

Founded by former SpaceX engineers and backed by Bain Capital Ventures, TerraFirma is automating construction to make it faster, cheaper, and safer by applying engineering principles of simplification and automation to infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own GAAP and management reporting, including month-end close and audit-ready financials
• Manage tax reporting, filings, payments, and R&D credits
• Establish procurement, purchasing approvals, and internal controls
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and employee expense policies
• Build budgets, rolling forecasts, cash planning, and burn tracking
• Develop unit economics and performance metrics across machines and operations
• Partner with engineering and supply chain on capex planning
• Prepare board, investor, and leadership reporting
• Support fundraising materials, investor diligence, and data room management
• Source and execute non-dilutive financing for equipment and materials
• Manage treasury and cash visibility

Requirements

• 3 to 7 years in a high-ownership finance role (early-stage startup, Big 4, investment banking, or asset-heavy operator)
• Strong GAAP accounting and month-end close experience
• Strong three-statement modeling and cash forecasting skills
• Ability to build finance processes from scratch in fast-moving environments
• Willingness to work extended hours or weekends during close cycles or fundraising
• Willingness to relocate to Austin, TX if not within commuting distance
