Playground is working to make excellent child care accessible to all. We have built best-in-class software to manage all aspects of running a child care business, allowing providers to focus on care while our platform manages the administrative work. We are a high-growth startup poised to scale rapidly.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the company’s integrated financial model, including long-range planning, annual operating plans, and rolling forecasts
• Build an AI-native finance function by deploying AI tools to automate forecasting, reporting, and workflows
• Prepare all quarterly Board materials, investor presentations, and management dashboards
• Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing Finance function spanning FP&A, accounting, and strategic finance
• Source, evaluate, and execute acquisition opportunities end-to-end, including financial diligence and post-acquisition integration

Requirements

• 4-8 years of experience in Finance
• 2+ years at a technology investment firm or high-growth SaaS/AI company
• Direct experience with M&A execution or fundraising
• Deep knowledge of SaaS business models, advanced modeling, valuation methodologies, and GAAP principles
• Ability to operate at both tactical and strategic levels
• Proactive approach to applying AI to finance operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Venture Capital
