Responsibilities

• Own the full end-to-end budgeting cycle, including monthly variance reviews and quarterly budget control
• Build and maintain robust cash forecasting models to manage burn rate and runway
• Prepare monthly and quarterly updates for board meetings and present financial performance to investors
• Establish analytical foundations including unit economics, cohort analyses, and profitability modelling
• Lead financial aspects of equity rounds, including modelling and due diligence management
• Manage financial due diligence for acquisitions and support post-merger integration
• Manage banking relationships, liquidity optimisation, and treasury policies
• Scope and lead the implementation of an ERP system across the group
• Lead audits and act as the primary liaison for external tax advisors and accountants

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive experience in in-house finance, PE, management consultancy, or investment banking
• 3+ years in a leadership role
• Proven experience in VC-backed financing rounds post-Series B
• Track record of building robust financial models from scratch for multi-entity/multi-currency structures
• Familiarity with tools such as DATEV, Stripe, Moss, Spendesk, or NetSuite
• Strong ownership of forecasting and budgeting cycles
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex data for non-finance stakeholders
• Fluent in English; B2/C1+ German is strongly preferred
