Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare, analyse, and present consolidated financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Coordinate and manage the end-to-end external audit process
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset functions
• Ensure compliance with DCAA regulations and US tax filing requirements
• Develop and refine internal financial controls and accounting policies
• Lead annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with department heads
• Provide high-level financial analysis and strategic insights to support executive decision-making
• Build, lead, manage, and mentor the US finance team as operations grow

Requirements

• CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification
• US citizenship with a Secret or higher security clearance (or ability to secure one)
• Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in operations financial support for US Government and US Department of War requirements
• Expertise in managing complex global financial close processes and statutory reporting
• Proficiency with modern ERP systems and advanced Excel financial modelling
• Experience with international financial operations, transfer pricing, and multi-currency transactions
• Familiarity with US Government R&D tax incentive claims and grant funding reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of IFRS/AASB accounting principles
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth technology or complex manufacturing environments
• Experience with accounting software/ERP system implementation or optimization
