Head of EYFS

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations within the EYFS phase to ensure an outstanding education.
• Promote and secure high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour, and pupil progress.
• Oversee curriculum delivery, ensuring coherent planning and effective tracking of pupil achievement.
• Act as a role model in classroom practice and mentor teaching staff through departmental CPD.
• Manage departmental resources, budgets, and the organization of EYFS events and trips.
• Drive parent engagement and support the Principal with admissions, school tours, and marketing.
• Ensure strict adherence to safeguarding policies and child protection procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, QTS, or PGCE.
• Minimum of five years of relevant teaching experience.
• Minimum of two years of proven leadership experience specifically within EYFS.
• Extensive experience working with the British curriculum.
• Proven experience in curriculum development.
• Experience working effectively in a multi-cultural setting.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
