Head of Export Control

Responsibilities

• Lead the Export Control team in managing foreign regulations, including U.S. ITAR and EAR, UK, and Italian regulations
• Provide strategic guidance, training, and advisory to engineering, supply chain, sales, and MRO functions
• Oversee compliance with global sanctions and embargo regimes, including OFAC, EU, UK, and UN
• Lead internal investigations related to potential export control and sanctions violations
• Manage the preparation of voluntary disclosures to regulatory authorities such as DDTC, BIS, and OFAC
• Implement screening processes and risk assessments for restricted parties and sanctioned countries
• Coordinate root cause analysis, corrective actions, and compliance remediation plans

Requirements

• 10+ years of Export Control experience within a multinational aerospace environment
• Proven expertise in managing US ITAR and EAR regulations
• University degree in Law, Geopolitics, or Supply Chain
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex regulatory investigations and disclosure management
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of specialists and influence senior management
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting policies, reports, and memorandums
• Fluency in English or French; proficiency in German or Spanish is a plus
