Head of English

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of the English curriculum for the High/Secondary School levels
• Manage staff within the English and Literature department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning
• Support student progress and foster a passion for literature, language, and critical thinking
• Develop innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learner needs
• Utilize educational technology tools to enhance learning outcomes and student engagement

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in an international or British curriculum setting
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum requirements for Secondary Education
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams or academic departments
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a dynamic, multicultural international school environment
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across different academic departments
