Head of Engineering Operations

Responsibilities

• Translate company strategy into actionable engineering and operating plans
• Design lightweight operating models and processes to optimize engineering execution
• Hire, mentor, and lead a global team of engineering operations professionals and Technical Program Managers
• Oversee financial and resource governance, including budget, headcount, and vendor allocations
• Define and own the engineering metrics program (KPIs for delivery, quality, and reliability)
• Serve as a proxy for the CTO and R&D leadership to drive communication and roadmap reviews
• Cultivate engineering enablement through onboarding and learning initiatives

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in engineering operations, technical program management, or strategy & operations
• Proven track record of driving complex, cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced environments
• Strong financial and analytical fluency with experience in budget and headcount modeling
• Exceptional technical fluency regarding the software development lifecycle
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to navigate ambiguity with strong judgment and organization
