About the Company

Fitt Talent Partners is a specialized recruitment firm for top health and wellness companies. The client is a smart seating company founded by ex-SpaceX and NASA engineers, building dynamic, sensor-driven medical cushions that prevent pressure injuries and restore mobility for wheelchair users.

Responsibilities

• Lead and hold accountable the entire engineering team regarding delivery, culture, and morale
• Bridge the gap between leadership strategy and technical constraints
• Partner with the CEO and patent attorneys to actively draft and prosecute patents
• Hire and lead the engineer responsible for cloud connectivity and the data platform
• Collaborate with operations to support high-mix, short lead time manufacturing
• Communicate timing, trade-offs, and impact of requests to Sales & Marketing
• Work with Finance on key programs for financial clarity

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 3–5+ years leading engineering teams at a startup or growth-stage company
• Hands-on background in electromechanical systems, embedded firmware, and connected hardware
• Experience building cloud connectivity and data platforms around hardware products
• Proven track record of shipping complex hardware/software products on time and to spec

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in HIPAA or regulated data environments
