Head of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering team to design, develop, and ship high-quality software solutions
• Partner with product managers to translate customer needs into technical strategies and actionable roadmaps
• Mentor engineers through a hands-on approach, conducting 1:1s and fostering a culture of accountability
• Manage workload, priorities, and sprint planning to ensure progress against business goals
• Contribute directly to projects by writing clean, maintainable, and high-performance code
• Optimize existing systems and architecture to ensure scalability and development speed

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier university
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in engineering management
• Proficiency in full-stack development with experience in modern languages (e.g., Java, TypeScript/JS, MySQL/Postgres, MongoDB)
• Strong background in cloud technologies (AWS) and microservices architectures
• Solid understanding of AI tools used to improve coding efficiency and quality
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, B2B SaaS environment
• Experience working with cross-functional teams within a software organization
• Familiarity with emerging technologies like AI and Machine Learning
• A results-oriented, "get-things-done" mentality
