Head of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical vision and strategy for the platform
• Lead the engineering team to build scalable, secure, and high-performance features for the exchange
• Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of product engineers
• Oversee the end-to-end product engineering lifecycle from ideation to implementation
• Provide leadership in the architecture and design of scalable, low-latency systems
• Ensure platform security and compliance with AML and KYC standards
• Implement metrics and performance KPIs to measure engineering success

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product engineering roles
• 5+ years in a leadership capacity managing engineering teams
• Proven track record leading development of broker-dealer trading systems or complex financial systems
• Expertise in software architecture, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with Ruby, Python, Go, Java, or C++
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with blockchain technology and smart contracts
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD
