Head of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Direct and control the activities of multiple Design & Engineering teams through senior managers
• Partner with Engineering Leaders, Manufacturing Operations, and Product Managers to establish objectives and action plans
• Lead the design, validation, and implementation of innovative, cost-effective product solutions from prototype to full-scale production
• Ensure engineering solutions meet customer requirements across diversified industry segments
• Manage budgets, schedules, and performance indicators to meet corporate guidelines
• Provide technical and strategic guidance to subordinate directors to ensure goal achievement
• Improve people, methods, systems, processes, and metrics to enhance customer satisfaction
• Partner with Operations leaders to integrate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles into manufacturing operations
• Implement HR strategies to recruit and retain a qualified, motivated workforce

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training
• Minimum of 8 years of management experience
• Proficiency in Autodesk design tools
• Proficiency in PDM and PLM systems
• Experience with electrical and mechanical designs
• Experience with LV switchgear

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or MBA
