Head of Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Electrical Engineering organization from new grads to Principal Engineers
• Drive execution of complex electrical systems from architecture through production and field deployment
• Guide architecture decisions involving embedded electronics, power systems, communications hardware, and sensors
• Partner with Mechanical, Software, Systems, Product, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams
• Establish technical direction, engineering standards, and development processes
• Lead technical reviews, design reviews, and engineering risk assessments
• Build organizational capability through hiring, mentoring, and performance management
• Support manufacturing scale-up and new product introduction activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
• 10+ years of experience developing complex electronic hardware systems
• 4+ years of engineering leadership experience managing technical teams
• Experience leading hardware products from concept through production
• Strong background in PCB design, embedded electronics, and power/motor control
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in aerospace, robotics, autonomous systems, or defense industries
• Familiarity with Altium Designer and modern PCB development workflows
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 quality management systems
• Hands-on experience with UAVs or aircraft systems
