About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Electrical Engineering organization from new grads to Principal Engineers
- Drive execution of complex electrical systems from architecture through production and field deployment
- Guide architecture decisions involving embedded electronics, power systems, communications hardware, and sensors
- Partner with Mechanical, Software, Systems, Product, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams
- Establish technical direction, engineering standards, and development processes
- Lead technical reviews, design reviews, and engineering risk assessments
- Build organizational capability through hiring, mentoring, and performance management
- Support manufacturing scale-up and new product introduction activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- 10+ years of experience developing complex electronic hardware systems
- 4+ years of engineering leadership experience managing technical teams
- Experience leading hardware products from concept through production
- Strong background in PCB design, embedded electronics, and power/motor control
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in aerospace, robotics, autonomous systems, or defense industries
- Familiarity with Altium Designer and modern PCB development workflows
- Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 quality management systems
- Hands-on experience with UAVs or aircraft systems
