Head of DMPK

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of in vitro ADME activities including metabolic stability, CYP inhibition, and permeability
• Lead interpretation of metabolic soft spot and MetID data to guide medicinal chemistry
• Establish and manage CRO partnerships for outsourced ADME and in vivo studies
• Own bioanalytical strategy including LC-MS/MS method development and validation
• Oversee in vivo PK studies across rodent and non-rodent species
• Lead PK/PD modeling and simulation strategy using PBPK modeling and allometric scaling
• Drive DMPK strategy for IND-enabling programs and author regulatory documents
• Represent the company in interactions with FDA, EMA, and other regulatory agencies
• Build and mentor a growing DMPK team and manage the functional budget

Requirements

• PhD in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience in DMPK
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing scientists and building teams
• Deep expertise in in vitro ADME and in vivo PK
• Proficiency in Phoenix WinNonlin and PBPK/PK-PD modeling platforms (Simcyp, GastroPlus)
• Proven track record of leading IND-enabling programs and authoring regulatory submissions
• Extensive experience with FDA, EMA, and ICH guidance
• Experience with regulated bioanalytical activities and LC-MS/MS
• Working knowledge of clinical pharmacology principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building a DMPK function from the ground up at a startup
• Track record of advancing small molecule programs through IND and Phase 1/2
• Experience in business development or due diligence
• Familiarity with AI/ML-based ADME prediction tools
