At Faros, we are building the engineering intelligence platform for the AI era. We help engineering organizations understand the impact of AI on software delivery while providing the operational context that enables AI agents to operate with greater accuracy, relevance, and trust in complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design for dynamic, adaptive UI and define how users collaborate with AI agents across web, mobile, conversational AI, Slack, and Jira
• Own the end-to-end experience and lead a systemic facelift of the UI to a high-maturity visual language
• Master data storytelling by transforming complex engineering analytics into actionable insights and dashboards
• Leverage an AI-first workflow, utilizing AI coding agents to fix UI/UX issues and raise PRs directly
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Go-To-Market teams to tie design back to business outcomes
• Manage and mentor the existing UX designer while building the strategic foundation to scale the design team

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Product Design
• 3+ years in a leadership or "founding designer" role within a fast-moving startup
• Deep fluency in modern AI tools and understanding of LLMs, agentic workflows, and generative UI
• Proven expertise in UX systems and complex data visualization
• Experience managing or mentoring designers
• Outcome-driven mindset focused on customer satisfaction and business conversion

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing for AI-powered products or natural language interfaces
• Familiarity with the engineering/DevOps landscape (DORA metrics, GitHub workflows, etc.)
• Strong understanding of front-end constraints and ability to partner with Lead Engineers
• Passion for tinkering with the latest AI design tools and engineering frameworks
