QTS or equivalent, relevant undergraduate degree, GCSE teaching experience, management training preferred
About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the Design and Technology department
- Raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the subject area
- Ensure the provision of a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum
- Teach the relevant subject across a range of ages and abilities
- Effectively manage and deploy staff, financial, and physical resources
- Formulate subject and faculty improvement plans, including syllabuses and schemes of work
- Act as an outstanding role model and provide pastoral support as a form tutor
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Relevant undergraduate degree
- Proven experience teaching GCSE at a good or better level
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of current curriculum developments and educational thinking

- Management or leadership training
