Sony Pictures Imageworks is the Academy Award-winning Live Action Visual Effects and Feature Animation unit of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the long-term vision, strategic direction, and operational priorities for the Animation Department
• Create objectives and key results amongst cross functional teams to ensure focus and achieve results
• Lead alignment with studio leadership and production leadership to evolve departmental capabilities and workflows
• Partner with Technology and Development teams to drive workflow innovation and pipeline evolution
• Collaborate with Animation Directors, VFX Supervisors, and CG Supervisors to align workflows and resolve production challenges
• Guide departmental onboarding, training priorities, and professional development initiatives
• Partner with Artist Management to support artist growth, retention, and succession planning
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning

Requirements

• Experience in strategic leadership within an animation or VFX environment
• Ability to drive departmental capabilities and organizational practices
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional production and technology teams
• Proven track record in workforce strategy and artist development
