Head of Delivery Excellence

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and maintain standard D&T delivery and governance frameworks across Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid models
• Oversee the successful delivery of a £300m+ annual D&T change portfolio
• Lead and develop a team of D&T delivery experts, including programme and project managers
• Design and implement effective governance models for complex, high-value strategic programmes
• Conduct delivery health checks, diagnostics, and execute recovery plans for programmes at risk
• Manage the selection, onboarding, and performance of third-party delivery partners and vendors
• Provide robust insight to leadership regarding delivery performance, risks, and value realisation

Requirements

• Extensive experience leading enterprise-scale D&T delivery portfolios in complex, global organisations
• Proven expertise in delivery frameworks, governance, and assurance within Waterfall and Agile environments
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary delivery teams and senior professionals
• Strong stakeholder management skills at the Executive/ExCo level
• Relevant professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or SAFe

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing multi-year technology or transformation portfolios exceeding £100m
• Strong commercial acumen and vendor management capability
• Proven track record of building and scaling enterprise delivery excellence functions
