Head of Data Governance Products

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for data governance products and platforms across all business units including R&D, Clinical, and Commercial.
• Lead the transformation of data governance from traditional compliance models to product-centric, AI-ready data capabilities.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of innovative data products, managing the full product lifecycle.
• Drive innovation in metadata management, data lineage, data quality frameworks, and automated governance solutions.
• Partner with Digital Pillar Leads and cross-functional teams to implement enterprise-wide data governance standards.
• Ensure all data products comply with regulatory requirements, data privacy laws, and internal policies.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of data governance professionals, product managers, and technical specialists.

Requirements

• BS in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data management or data governance.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and complex technology initiatives.
• Proven track record in product management and platform development.
• Experience with modern cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of AI/ML platforms, Agentic systems, and LLM technologies.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements including GDPR, HIPAA, FDA, or GxP.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
• Understanding of clinical data, regulatory submissions, and drug development processes.
• Knowledge of healthcare data standards and interoperability requirements.
