Head of Data Center Acquisition

Responsibilities

• Own the data center capacity pipeline across North America, Europe, and other priority markets
• Source and evaluate data center providers, developers, colocation sites, and expansion projects
• Lead commercial work from initial qualification through diligence, internal approval, and signature
• Conduct deep diligence on power, site control, permits, design, security, and operations
• Align business functions including legal, finance, and procurement with internal delivery teams
• Build and lead a team to execute high-velocity infrastructure acquisitions
• Provide concise executive updates regarding deal status, risks, and required decisions

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in hyperscale data center acquisition or infrastructure sourcing
• Proven track record of leading high-value infrastructure or cloud infrastructure transactions
• Strong understanding of data center capacity drivers including power, cooling, and site readiness
• Excellent executive communication skills with the ability to summarize complex deals concisely
• Ability to work credibly with technical, legal, finance, and security experts
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to create structure and manage complex close plans

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a hyperscaler, AI infrastructure company, or major cloud provider
• Experience with high-density compute environments such as AI, GPU, or HPC
• Familiarity with North American and European data center markets
• Experience assessing utility power, interconnection status, or power-constrained markets
• CDCDP or similar data center industry credentials
