Responsibilities

• Execute the club’s data and analytics strategy, aligning with sporting and organizational objectives
• Oversee the use, governance, and quality of data across soccer operations
• Manage the club’s data ecosystem, including pipelines, databases, and automated workflows
• Translate match, event, and tracking data into performance metrics and visualizations for coaching staff
• Support recruitment by applying player evaluation models and predictive analytics
• Collaborate with sports science and medical departments to connect workload and performance outcomes
• Lead education and adoption of data-driven practices across the club

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in data science, performance analysis, or analytics within professional football or elite sports
• Fluency in Python, R/Shiny, and SQL
• Advanced proficiency in Tableau or comparable visualization platforms
• Hands-on background with player monitoring technologies
• Familiarity with football data platforms (e.g., Statsbomb, Skillcorner) and video tools (Hudl, Wyscout, Sportscode)
• Proven leadership experience overseeing data teams or analytics functions
• Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel
