Responsibilities

• Map the global landscape of biological datasets across genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, imaging, and clinical data.
• Identify high-value datasets across pharma pipelines, national biobanks, hospital systems, and research institutes.
• Travel internationally to build trusted relationships with scientists, hospital administrators, and biotech companies.
• Structure and negotiate agreements to unlock dataset access while navigating regulatory, privacy, and IP considerations.
• Build and maintain a global pipeline of potential data partnerships.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of genomics and multi-omics.
• Proven ability to build relationships across biotech, pharma, or global scientific networks.
• Hands-on experience securing access to controlled or restricted human datasets (e.g., DUAs, dbGaP/DAC).
• Working fluency in regulatory and privacy regimes such as HIPAA, GDPR, and NIH controlled-access frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with scientific and business stakeholders.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and navigate complex institutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior roles in business development, partnerships, or data licensing in biotech or healthcare.
• Experience with international research collaborations or large scientific consortia.
• Prior academic or industry research experience with genomics or multi-omics datasets.
