Head of Cyber Security/Chief Information Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Lead BDO Australia’s enterprise information security program to manage risk and enable secure service delivery.
• Provide strategic leadership across security governance, risk management, security operations, and incident response readiness.
• Promote a strong security culture and shared accountability for information security across the firm.
• Establish and oversee third-party security risk management for key suppliers and service providers.
• Deliver and implement the information security strategy and policy framework.
• Identify, assess, and report on information security risks and control effectiveness.
• Provide oversight and assurance to ensure compliance with security legislation and recognized frameworks.

Requirements

• Proven experience overseeing an enterprise information security function (strategy, governance, risk, operations, and assurance).
• Experience working within professional services or a complex regulated environment.
• Strong information security governance and control framework capability.
• Practical experience with the ASD Essential Eight and NIST frameworks.
• Ability to translate technical security risks into business impact for senior leadership.
