Head of CSOC Europe

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the CSOC strategy to align with global cybersecurity and business objectives
• Oversee CSOC operations, including incident response, threat intelligence, and proactive monitoring
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing CSOC team to ensure continuous skill development
• Serve as the primary escalation point for major security incidents, overseeing investigation and remediation
• Define and refine security monitoring and threat detection strategies using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and NIST
• Establish KPIs and metrics to measure CSOC effectiveness and drive operational improvements
• Partner with IT, architecture, and compliance teams to ensure capabilities meet enterprise needs and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 7+ years of cybersecurity experience
• At least 4+ years of experience in a SOC leadership role
• Extensive experience in security operations, incident response, and digital forensics
• Strong technical knowledge of SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and SOAR technologies
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools such as Python or PowerShell

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or GIAC (GCIA, GCIH, GSEC)
• Experience managing security operations within a large-scale global enterprise environment
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical risks to non-technical executive leadership
• Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities in high-pressure situations
